Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) – Universal Information Technologies

CSP          Cloud Partner

Universal Information Technologies today announced, that it has been awarded entry into the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Program.

The Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program completely changes the way Microsoft interacts with the majority of its partners on the products that Microsoft considers most strategic to its future – Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics CRM Online, Enterprise Mobility Suite and Microsoft Intune

Being a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) allows UIT to sell Microsoft Cloud Services along with their own offerings and services. UIT can now own the complete customer lifecycle through direct billing, provisioning, management, and support. In addition, the CSP program enables partners to:

  • Create a customer offer, set the price, and own the billing terms.
  • Integrate service offerings with the Microsoft cloud services.
  • Stay at the centre of the Microsoft cloud customer lifecycle.

1st Tier partnership

Universal Information Technologies has a proven set of cloud capabilities, and has been awarded a 1st Tier partnership. This is the program of choice for partners looking to provide an end-to-end customer experience, including customer support. In this model, the partner has a direct relationship with Microsoft. This program requires partners to have high capability standards to provide a great customer experience.

The 1-Tier partner is approved by Microsoft and orders seats on behalf of customers directly from Microsoft, rather than through another partner type. To get that relationship, a partner must have a series of capabilities. To qualify for 1-Tier, a partner must be able to bill, provide support, do technical integration and handle customer lifecycle management. Microsoft is also looking for partners with a business model around managed services IP and with broad market reach.

Customers are demanding that more and more of their IT solutions be deployed in the cloud. Industry analysts agree this trend will not only continue, but accelerate in the future. This represents an incredible opportunity for Microsoft partners to build your business on top of our “cloud first, mobile first” vision.

CSP empowers Universal Information Technologies

CSP empowers Universal Information Technologies to offer the following:

Value added services – whether you provide project services, managed services or your own intellectual property built on the Microsoft cloud, customers want more from their partners and now this can be offered by UIT.

Customer support – when first level questions come up, customers need help from their cloud solution provider. Being a 1st Tier provider UIT can offer this service to all clients.

One invoice – customers want a single, simple way to understand their bill for all the cloud services they consume. UIT will consolidate all your Microsoft services, licenses and cloud solutions onto one understandable invoice.

First point of contact

A critical component of the CSP program is that the partner is the first point of contact for a customer support incident. Some types of support that partners are responsible for providing include:

  • Frontline billing and subscription
  • Provisioning
  • Answers to questions
  • Service and software updates
  • Software configuration
  • Performance issues within a partner’s span of control
  • Client connectivity and client desktop
  • Service availability issues within a partner’s span of control

Some types of incidents can be escalated to Microsoft, such as:

  • Supported tasks that are outside the functionality provided with available tools
  • Break/fix — undocumented problems with the service
  • Availability — service not accessible
  • Not operating according to service descriptions
  • Bugs and other irregularities that affect service appearance or operation
  • Large-scale network disruptions
  • Regional, multi-tenant impact
